Trustee
Barry Balcourt
My wife and I are longtime residents of this town, we moved here 33 years ago. Our two children were born and raised here. They both went through the Port Washington school system. My son volunteered with the Port Washington Fire Department and later helped serve our great city as an EMT of the FDNY. My wife Linda was also a Port nursery school teacher for over 25 years.
After serving on the Manorhaven Zoning Board and subsequently serving on the Architectural Review Board, I will help to continue the efforts of the current administration in keeping this village safe, beautiful and financially sound. As a business owner on Long Island I am focused on the real issues facing our village today. We must continue to find ways to reduce taxes, we must ensure that all landlords maintain their properties and keep housing desirable, we must maintain a safe and crime free environment for our families and children, we must ensure that our fellow neighbors have a voice in local politics and ultimately, we must preserve the landscape of this unique waterfront community. Manorhaven is unique in its diversity. With the help of our elected trustees as well as our informed friends and neighbors we will continue to remain one of the most desirable waterfront communities to live in on Long Island. I am proud to be able to serve this great community.

I am a third generation resident of Manorhaven, living here for forty-four years.
